I have a 3 and a half year old kakhi campbell who has random body trembles what could this be ? Her and her sister both do that when preparing to lay a egg and a little after which they always have done but im wondering why is she doing is thru the day and night soemtimes now ? Otherwise she seems ok , eating, drinking , preening, gets the zoomies mostly everyday and lays a egg almost every day , she usually only skips a day about 3 to 4 days a month .could it be her trying to adjust her body temperature ? Vitamin deficiency?they are on kalambach all natural duck n goose feed and have free choice pulverized oyster shells available 24/7 in a seprate dish and get daily treats of peas , corn and dandelion leaves , i just worry about my girls , I love my ducks so much and they are my first 2 ducks hatched them in a homemade incubator, they are my heart n soul id die without them !!

I see you also asked this question back in July. If you could get a video of your ducks doing this it might help us figure it out. You will have to upload onto a platform like you tube then copy and paste it here.
I was looking up duck with body trembles and came across your thread from July https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/trembly-duck.1671095/

When I get home ill.make a.video of her when and if she does it today but she only did it yesterday after her bath so im really thinking it has to do with her just regulating her body temperature, and once she was fully dried she stopped .. yeah I did ask back in July lol because its something she has always done randomly but she doesn't have no symptoms of anything at all just the random shaking , she eats great , plays , has alot of energy, I have 2 girls and shes the dominant one they are sisters , and she is a brave girl lol she has standoffs with my cat , she hated when he gets to close and will.start to vibrate her head and launch her self at him 2 days ago she has him backed against the wall and sat there quacking at him until I came over and and picked her up lol so basically im.saying she seems pretty healthy .. ill get the video as soon as I see her do it again but they are indoor ducks who do go out in the yard everyday for a few hours everyday, shorter in the winter as they don't really like to be out when it's so.cold and will.sit at the backdoor to.come back in but my inside temp right now is set at 70 in the house and im in Philadelphia pa and its been anywhere from 30 to 45 outside

Idk
What’s the temperature like?
My house temp is set at 70 degrees but from Thursday till Monday I had it set at 74 we had a cold snap here In Philly pa and outside temps here have been between 30 to 45 and it was in the teens Thursday till Monday, they are house ducks who go outside in the backyard daily for a few hours a day from March till dec and from Dec till Feb we only go.out for an hour sometimes quicker of they decide to.come in they dont like the cold temps much

Does she start doing this in your presence or in the presence of another bird? It could be the warning quivers, they do this to show dominance or to warn others away.
Yeah she does that also sometimes especially when the cat get to close she hates the cat in her space and I know what that is were they vibrate their head but this is different from that but I think i figured out why she does it now seems like it just her regulating her body temperature if she too hot or cold , shes 3 and a half and she has always done it randomly sometimes after a bath or swim too cuz she seem very healthy, I just wanted to see what other people say

Also im basically with my girls 24/7 have been the whole 3 and a half years of their lives , they always are with me , even when I go to the bathroom lol 😆 only time they are hanging out with me is at bedtime and they sleep in their own bedroom in a big baby playpen , even then i.still.go in and check on them a few times a night lol.yeah im obsessed with my girls , they are spoiled ut they are also really bonded to me so I notice everything

I know what you are talking about and she does that to my cat lol thats when they vibrate their heads amd will sometimes launch themselves after that but this is different but I think its just her regulating her body temperature when she gets too hot or cold
