Duck with eye issue

So i got her with 8 others from metzer. She is a 4.5 week old fawn runner. Originally i thought it may just be debris or dust from the shipping but with soaks and flushing it hasnt gotten any better, but also hasnt gotten worse.

When i would flush the eye the gunk doesnt come out, and i was nervous to use a qtip incase maybe its her second eyelid or something. This is my first eye problem with any of my parrots or ducks.

We dont have an avian vet anywhere close to me so it would be a ton of money and stress on the duck to take her. I did manage to get my hands on some terramycin eye gel despite the new prescription requirements.

Any idea what this may be?

It could be a corneal abrasion or a peck wound that has damaged the eye. It could cause blindness, but hard to know without a vet. You usually can get Terramycin ointment from jedds.com. I would flush the eye with saline twice a day and then apply the Terramycin 2-3 times daily.

Im going to start treatment in the morning and ill report back. We just bought a house and built a 300sq ft pond for them, i cant afford any kind of eye surgery so im hoping it clears up with the terramycin. Ill report back either way. Thank you
