A few weeks ago I went out to my ducks coops and my female was not able to stand due to a foot-leg issue. I let them free range for half the day and they are in the coop at night. I took her to a feed store where they had a bird specialist (not a vet) and I was advised that she had cuts on her foot and maybe she stepped on something hot (it has not been hot in our area) so we put bag bomb on it and gave her a splint. She wore this for about four days with not much improvement. I keep her in a kennel inside the coop so she can visit her boyfriend and bring her in the house at night. She still hobbles bad or just sits. She is drinking, eating with no problem and started laying eggs again. I can no longer see any problem with the bottom of her foot. How do I know if this is causing pain? Why can't she walk yet? What else can I do? I give her vitamins, niacin, peas, meal worms, baths. What is my next step I should take?

Welcome to BYC.
Sorry, you have not received a reply yet - how is your duck doing?
If she is still limping considerably, a video of her walking would be helpful to see to assess the degree of severity of her limp. If you have pictures of her leg, as well as the bottom of the footpad that would also be nice to see.
If there are no noticeable lesions on her legs, it is possible she simply sprained/strained the leg, which can often occur due to over-mating from drakes, or by tripping over objects. Depending on the severity of the tissue damage, it can take a few weeks for complete recovery.
Increasing the bird's time in cool water, attempting to reduce the space the duck can roam are a couple of things that will hasten healing. If you have any NSAIDs such as aspirin available, you can administer her some of that to help combat any inflammation occurring.
