hi my name is Jessica I have a khaki Campbell that got stuck on the ice on their pond. I have consulted a few veterinarians and I'm asking for your advice. I have had them in since last weekend. His pads have gotten some splitting open at his joints no swelling on the pads themselves the joints that turn a little gray. also where they lay down on the larger joint where our knees would be there is one side that is not too bad it's red and healing and the other side is still black but I've been using Neosporin and it seems to be helping the pads keeping him dry and warm. My question is should I wait to let him out till the Black is gone also how do I reintroduce him back into the cold? Thank you very much

if they'll let you some epsom salt soak will really help with those cracks, and some neosporin or clear iodone

luckily i dont think the frostbite was that bad but now we want to try to protect their feet while they heal

JUST try not to let them drink the ES water, epsom salt is a laxative :sick and ducks poop enough as it is lol
