Duck with prolapse - what would you do?

Poor thing isn't going to make it. Should I process or just put her out of her misery? If I process, I'd have to do it inside because of the weather and at this point I think plucking would be too messy. I've never done a duck before and I'm considering skinning. Think the meat is ok?

I would go ahead and process this animal, asap. And since your going to dress it inside skin it for sure. Duck and goose feathers and inside do not mix. Put it in the freezer for a while after, if you have an emotional attachment. Good luck and sorry for your loss.

Thanks for your reply. I did cull her this morning; couldn't let her suffer anymore. I opted not to process her; just couldn't face that today.
