duckie question..

so i have a pair of inside the bedroom muscovies. my drake has been mounting our little girl lately. i am not sure they have been mating though. last night he was standing on top of her and she didn't look happy so i shooed him off lol. well the past few days my female has been going under my bed, under their pen, and under my desk which has my clothes basket in front, you can't really see inder the desk. today her spot has been under the bed, i think she is there now. is she looking for a spot to make her nest?? if so i think my mom and i are going to get her a basket in top of a towel and i saved a lot of feathers for her since i vacuume a lot fo them up everyday. will this be enough for her needs?? i don't have the money or resources to build a pen, i think they do fine inside anyway.

I don't know if an inside the house nest would be a good idea...broody duck poo is TERRIBLE! a million times worse than chickens!

yeah i was talking to duckyfromoz in the past about it (we are close friends) and she said the same exact thing. but we really have no options!!!! we have possums and no shelter. i am working on it though!! my family isn't the richest (we are barely making it) and i don't have a job. i have been saving bits of the money i do get (stupid chores like getting my uncle and cousin ice when they were here visiting and running my mom's friends kids around) i have 43 dollars saved. i might have found a house, but i need to e-mail the man back when i figure out how big i want the house. we are moving soon and my parents don't really want to build a pen, which is stupid i think, but idk. i guess i will deal with it

Check on craigslist for free or really cheap dog houses..i would suggest wooden, it would be easier to make a small door for but whatever you can find. My scovy hen just got moved to a small empty coop we had..i swear she NEVER leaves it!

i have been looking. i got an e-mail from someone who said he might have a good sized house for the price i'm asking. i haven't seen any free ones and a lot of people want like 100-300 bucks! oh that reminds me i need to ask my dad sizes lol and e-mail the man back. i am looking for a wooden one, that is shaped like a little house and i want to put fencing around it.
