Duckilng foot bent

My duckling just hatched and I picked it up to check on them and their foot bas bent. They can't open it and can't walk, not for lack of trying.

Can you bend the foot! If it is unbendable prognosis is poor. If you can bend it a bit you may be able to splint it and gradually get it into normal position (if you and the duck can tolerate it). If it is really easy to move/floppy that’s a bad sign too (nerve issues).

Its all good, after a few hours she was walking with it flat on her own.
