I bought a dozen Duck eggs from auction (I buy lots of stuff from there). I have never hatched or tried to hatch ducks before. I dont even have a guarantee they ARE ducks or if so, what breed. I started them in the incubator 25 days ago. I did my research online and figured they should hatch after about 28 days. Today I went online to check in on the brooder info and saw a posting somewhere saying dry incubation is only 25 days to hatch. Is that true? I have candled them and they ALL appear to be almost "ready". So is it 25 days or 28? Either way, im taking them out of the turner today.
BUT WHAT DO I DO NOW
?
At the auction, if theyre not sure what they're selling, they'll ask the seller, but the seller was nowhere to be found. So I bid on them anyhow. If they are 25 days, did I hurt them by turning them? I know Muskovy take 35 days. If I have Muskovy, obviousely they wont hatch in the next couple days. But if they dont, Should I start turning again? Should I turn the whole time anyhow? By hand? Put them back in the turners? What should I do? Any suggestion, I will ktake into consideration! Thanx!
