Letting the ducks out of their house in the morning.

Very cute video. They are so lucky to have that huge pond. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed the video.

They come waddling home around 6PM. Quacking at the back fence wanting to be fed.
They are a bit of a neighborhood fixture, so everyone loves the ducks!

What a cute video! I love the straggler who comes out of the bushes and runs to catch up! Thanks for sharing. :)

That's our 8 week old. She's still a bit unsure about things. She doesn't even particularly like hanging out with her mother. We're working on her.
I have 3 eggs about to hatch in a few days, so she'll have some younger siblings this year as well.

Their house looks awesome! Did you build this and if so, how? I currently have both mine inside at night but would like to build them something predator proof to have outside as well.

Yes, I built it.  I used 2x2 inch boards for the base using cinder blocks to raise it up from the dirt.  I really wished I'd have used 2x4's though it stands up well to the ducks.
The bottom, sides, and roof are all particle board painted with outdoor paint.  I cut windows and stapled chicken wire to the inside.
Shingled the top so it would be weather proof.  Cut out a door and put a hinge on it so they can walk down a ramp.
I also hinged the entire front face of the house so it can drop down for easy cleaning.  The floor is linoleum with pine straw on top.  It works very well.
Here is a better picture.

Gosh that is so crafty!

This is our current living condition. They've been inside their whole lives so being left out every night might be an adjustment but I want to build it myself. I thank you for your help and sharing yours with me.

I love the little enclosure for your ducks. How in the world do you keep it so clean? Thanks for sharing this pic with us. Your little pekin duck is so cute and what breed is the other one? They must litter box trained too.
