What temp should i keep my 1 week old duckling at?
What age should he start losing his fuzz?
When will he be fully feathered?
When can i start leaving him (being watched through my window and in a pin.) outside during the day?
When can I start leaving him outside unatended?
He has some tiny adult feathers on his tail.

Please take your time and answer accuritly.

What temp should i keep my 1 week old duckling at?

Rule of thumb, start at 90F first week, drop 5 degrees a week. At the same time, there needs to be a cooler area in the brooder so if that is too warm the duckling can move to a more comfortable area. Watch for panting or hyperactivity, or huddling or excessive peeping that expresses discomfort. Always have fresh (I know, they get it dirty quickly) water available.

What age should he start losing his fuzz? It seems to me it was a slow process, with my runners mostly feathered by about ten or twelve weeks.

When will he be fully feathered? Generally by four months I would think, depends a bit on the breed.

When can i start leaving him (being watched through my window and in a pin.) outside during the day? I would go with fully feathered, and please, please, please do some study and make sure he is safe from predators and injury, heat and cold.

When can I start leaving him outside unattended? Again, I would say when he's fully feathered, and the weather is warm enough (if you are in the northern hemisphere it is probably fine now), and when you have a very safe place built.

He has some tiny adult feathers on his tail. I recall the runners getting tail feathers first.

Please take your time and answer accurately. (c:
