Duckling Bent foot

Hey Yall,

I have a ducking about two weeks old. Its foot is bending weird and they can’t walk on it. The foot was fine until this evening. It may have gotten injured or maybe it’s missing a nutrient or something. Would love some advice.

What are you feeding your ducklings and what is in the bottom of your brooder?

It may be niacin deficiency. See attached.

I am feeding them Purina Flock Raiser Crumbles and I am using pine flakes shavings for bedding

Welcome to BYC. I would feed some human vitamin B complex 1/4 tablet daily, or liquid B complex from feed store 1/4 ml daily, or nutritional yeast, all of which contain extra niacin needed.
