I'm not sure there's much you can do. A duck without legs is going to have very poor quality of life, I would think, and would be completely dependent on you.

And I wonder what else might be going on internally. Normally, I am all for supporting life, but that one is tough. 😢

@Isaac 0 @Miss Lydia

I'm trying to think of the BYC duck people to tag, and these are the only 2 I can recall atm.

I agree, her quality of life would be very poor, how would she move, swim, scratch. If you have the commitment and time you could probably raise her. Although she would probably die of a heart attack because of weight gain. But if you think you can do it-
Go for it! :love

That’s the lil one mom stopped paying attention so I just went to grab it and I agree I just don’t have the heart to put an animal down I mean I’m vegan for a reason , can I take her to a vet to be put down in a more humanly way ???

Most vets won't treat poultry- but if you specify you need to humanely euthanize and the reason, I think you'll find help. Especially if you have a standing relationship with a dog/cat vet- or you can try some livestock vets that service your area.... Or if you can find an avian vet- but I should think most vets would be willing to assist. Poor ducky, I'm sorry you're going through this.
