These two are throwing me for a loop. Hoovers hatchery farm store. I was hoping they were welsh harlequins, but I don't think so as they are not dark enough.
They have olive legs, dark bills, light eye stripe, and their down is a fairly uniform yellow to beige.
Maybe Golden 300s?
I vent sexed them at the store, one male and one female.

I was hoping they'd be a property breed versus a hybrid. Blah.
The other two ducklings are a female rouen and a female magpie :)

Also, the last picture he was giving me such a side eye! Hah!

I agree they are not Welsh Harlequin. I am thinking maybe Silver Swedish. If so, they are beautiful! If they were a hybrid like Golden 300 they would be sex-linked and different colors as male and female. So, if your vent-sexing is correct, they are not a hybrid. This is my crested silver Swedish:

Females can end up almost white while males are usually a light gray.

Actually going back and looking at our pictures...yeah they do seem like silver swedish. Boooo! We were wanting something different. I didn't need more of the same ducks, lol!

Sorry! Maybe we are wrong. 🤞
Here are some updated pictures. They aren't looking like my previous silver swedish. Additionally, the are MUCH larger than their Magpie and Rouen pals. Magpies are obviously not a large breed. But rouens are a large breed, and they're still bigger by a good margin.

You got me. They do not have the down tipped in darker color like a Welsh unless your pictures just don't show it. Their dark bill rules out Buff although their feet color are right for the buff gene. I am pretty stumped. I do not think the size necessarily means anything as some just grow faster and some slower. I have had siblings hatched the same day be different sizes along the way. Be sure and update when they start to feather out I am very curious.

Darn! I was hoping it would be clearer. I really don't know either! Somtimes they could be a dark phase of a lighter duck? Anyways, I am excited to see too!

Yay! I wondered about that because of the pattern of the lighter down but I did not think they had dark bills. But, everything else sure fits, including the buff gene which lightens the legs. Congrats! I am glad you got what you wanted. I always wanted runners too.
