I am raising six Gold Star Hybrids for my backyard to act as garden companions and for eggs. We bought 5 females and one male from here. Right now we have them in a rubber crate with plenty of woodshavings, good food (unmedicated with supplements), fresh water, and a heat lamp. Trying to keep it around 80 - 85 degrees fahrenheit as they are a little under two weeks old. We maintain a clean crate by swapping them out every few days. We drain the water in a painters tray with grating on top of it so that the environment doesn't get soppy. In the past couple of days, Ive been noticing one of our female ducklings acting a little off. She has her head tucked into her body, sometimes walks a little funny, does not seem to be pooping. Shes still going back between water and food but I can tell something is wrong. Everybody else seems to be doing just fine. She is on the far right in this image.
