1) I might be getting a duck in a few days, so I need to make a diaper bc they are staying inside.
2) Also, I have a cat so should I get her to know my soon to be ducklings?

I would not ever trust a cat around a duckling. I like cats. But no ducklings with them.

If your duckling is in a brooder box, no diaper is required, just general brooder box care and maintenance. A brooder box I believe is much less work than diapers... I think you'd be changing diapers like a zillion times per day!

Read thru this, it should tell you what you need to knowhttp://www.backyardchickens.com/t/750869/raising-and-caring-for-ducklings

P.S. a single duckling won't be as happy or healthy as two duckling buddies

I had a cat that was totally safe around all baby birds. I had at various times chicks, ducklings, and guineas in cardboard boxes with open tops and he never harmed any of them. He used to catch a field rat and eat it almost every day. You can usually tell by a cats behavior whether they are likely to be a problem or not.
