Duckling Eyes seem injured

One of my 11 day old ducklings that are with their mama had two sore eyes. I noticed it when I was looking for markings. Both eyes had blood around them and are sore from something. Wondering if a little rodent grabbed it - like an outdoor mouse that dug a hole into their outside yard area.
Attaching photos. I warm washed the blood around the eyes. It's hard to see too much due to the angle.

Brought him/ her in with another and is doing much better.
