Hi
It's been a while since I last posted on here, last years ducklings hatched with few issues.
This year my Abacot ranger sat on 6 eggs and 5 hatched last weekend and then she left the nest. I brought the remaining egg into the incubator thinking it would hatch any day and it's only hatched today and needed assistance as it was struggling, no blood or yolk sac attached so I thought it would be ok. However it's spent the whole day struggling to get on its legs and keeps flipping onto its back. It's now under a heat lamp as I felt it was struggling in the incubator. It seems very active and is very vocal but am very concerned it seems so wobbly. I know they are very tired and have little strength to stand when first hatched but something doesn't seem right. It has stood on both legs for a few seconds then flips over to the side and on its back. Any advice from you lovely people would be most appreciated. I feel for this little guy and want to help him.

I have had luck putting them in a plastic sour cream container with a folded square of paper towel. It generally is tight enough to keep them from flipping and gives them an easier time pushing against the sides and bottom to get to standing.

He's a lot stronger this morning and is walking but is still wobbly. I think there is an issue with his right foot. Have atttached a video of anyone has any thoughts.

I can't upload a video but have taken a few photos. His right leg definitely doesn't look quite right.
