As I was on my way to get groceries, I seen this little thing frantically running back and forth across the main hi way that runs through. Obviously very far from any other duck, and smack dab in the middle of a town. I wish I knew how it got there. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what kind of duck this will be?

Any way to know if it is a male or female? Also, i know there are multiple wood duck species, any idea which one this would be? it sure is beautiful

Is he friendly? He might be someone's pet duck that got out of the yard.
have had the little baby for almost two weeks now, the duck was absolutely not domesticated and was terrified of me and everything else when I first saved it. now, it’s rather used to me. am currently building it a little insulated home of his own on the other side of the fencing of where my other 11 ducks get to wander about once I let them out of their coops (3 big chicken coops, they all know who goes in which coop at night, it’s the funniest thing) in the morning, so they can get used to each other. which I realize takes time. I have been searching the web for a site like this since I got the little thing (this site has been a godsend already! I appreciate everyone’s input)
