Duckling has wavey feathers?

I hatched out some Welsh Harlequin ducklings a few days ago, and just noticed that my little drake has weird feathers! The feathers on his chest are all wiggly and wavey, almost like he has bedhead.

I was wondering if any of you have every seen anything like this?? He's taken baths already, and the feathers are still all squiggled up, even after drying and grooming.

What a precious duckling. Not sure I'd worry much about his downy feathers because he's going to lose them anyway . I can't see any balding though. Are you feeding a good balanced diet and adding Nutritional yeast to their feed or niacin in their water?
