Had 20 muscovies hatch, was cleaning the nests out( under chicken coop) found one egg where the duckling was almost hatched out but moms had abandoned it. I took it out of the last part of the eggs and there were fly larva all over it. Cleaned under warm running water, noticed it had some in its nostrils. Used a small tweezer and was able to get some out but not all. Anything I can do or should I just wait and see? Help!

If I was you I would take a small syringe and flush the nostril out gently, you don't want those things in there at all. They will start to eat him inside out. Try and get as much as you can out. Water will not hurt him much, just don't force him to breath it in. Keep us updated.

I am to afraid it will breathe and aspirate. Thanks will keep you posted.
