I know you guys probably see posts like these all the time..... but does anyone know if the black looking duckling would be a Khaki Campbell or Cayuga or maybe something else? There were other ducklings from my local Tractor Supply store that I thought were Khaki Campbell's that were a lighter brown and I already bought 2 Khaki Campbell's that have adult feathers in and they were a lighter brown color when I bought them. Also is the grayish colored one a Blue Swedish or something different? I have two Black Swedish that have flight feathers but I'm not sure what this little guy is. Can anyone help me please?

Looks like you're right, Cayuga and Blue Swedish! Khaki Campbells are more of a chocolaty brown color as ducklings.

Also, are you using those cedar chips with them? Cedar is known to cause respiratory problems and foot irritation.

Thank you! I had been, then I went to pine, then back to cedar because the pine seemed to go bad quicker. Should I go back to pine? Also is cedar bad for chicks and chickens too? I've got pine shavings in my coop and cedar in a box for my chicks that are gonna go outside in a week since they're old enough and it'll be warm enough by then. But I'm getting an order of bantams in soon and I don't want to use cedar if that's the not good for them.

I would not rec. using cedar with any poultry.

Really cedar is bad for all animals. Guinea pigs, rabbits, poultry, horses, etc... Too bad because is smells good and lasts so long

Ok thank you

. (All the Mallards or Rouen's I've seen have black colored bills so I don't know. Maybe a crossbreed? I couldn't find any migratory breeds that looked like that.)
