Does anyone use leg bands for their ducklings? If so, where is the best place to buy them? What sizes do you need? How often do they need to be changed to compensate for growth?

Thanks!

I use the spiral bands sold by Smith Poultry http://www.poultrysupplies.com/
The smallest ducklings I have (Runners and Welsh Harliquin) can start with #4, or #5 for slightly larger ducklings. I have used up to #9 for adult ducks, but they do need larger bands often as adults.
The bands need to be changed at least every week at first and gradually will last longer.
These bands have a number of colors which makes it nice for keeping track of ducklings from different hens.

i use velcro bands for ducklings, you can by rolls for tieing up computer cables in the hardware shop and cut them to size. they dont last more than a few weeks but the ducklings grow so fast you have to re-do them in that time anyway.
