Duckling not acting right

I would take the long view - she may have some injury from the heat. The antibiotics might be a good precautionary step, in case that's the problem.

And give her some time. Ducks have a strong will to live. If it were me, I would keep up with B vitamin supplements and the best nutrition you can manage, reduce stress as much as possible.

I'm definitely going to hang in there with her.

I'm a bit nervous to give the shot. Any idea the dosage and any tips?

From what I have read, it needs to be based on the duck's weight - so you need that information (maybe available from the vet report if you don't have a scale).

@casportpony has posted some threads about antibiotics. Let me see if I can find some.
There are others, as well. But she's the first one who came to mind.

Here is a thread I think may help you.

Thank you, I had Duramyacin 10 too so I started her on that since it is less invasive and less stressful. Neither of the other two are showing any symptoms so I really don't think it's bacterial or viral. I'll keep up with the niacin and vitamins for now.

@MandBducks It's just like with niacin def. some ducks from same hatch won't show any symptoms then you'll have 1 or 2 that will. She may have had heat stroke. I know chickens are vunerable to it. Keep up what you are doing and hopefully with TLC she'll return to normal.

How are the other treating her. Sometimes when one is acting not quite right the others will single it out and pick on it so try to keep that from happening she doesn't need that stress.

I have her in the house away from the others. She seems to have taken a turn for the worse and won't eat this morning. I tried dripping the nutridrench on the tip of her tongue but she just lets it fall out. Her stomach or something also seems to be making a very very loud noise about every minute or so. Seizures have increased in duration and amount.

Gosh I am so sorry. You maybe hearing her stomach if she hasn't been eating much. Other than a vet I really don't know what to say just keep her as comfortable as you can. How are the others? This could be related to the heat then again it could be something that was going on and because of the heat just escalated it. They are very good at hiding things from us till it's too late. Sometimes they can be hatched with issues [heart etc] and they don't show up right away. Please keep us updated.

I'm actually starting to think it could be hardware disease. If she is getting worse and that noise is increasing I'm wondering if something is stuck in her gizzard?

What do vets do for hardware disease?
