Duckling not chirping?!? HELP!!!

hi,
I have 11 runner duck eggs in the incubator and 3 or 4 have pipped starting this morning but during that hole time they haven't chirped! I have hatched chicken eggs before and they started chirping during this hole time, why aren't this?!?!?( it's also day 24)

I had a duck egg pip externally but it had yet to break the membrane. I did not hear it peep until the day after the first external pip. She hatched out fine 48 hours after the first pip.

They don't usually hatch until day 28 or day 29 and they take forever.

Personally, I would leave her. If she hasn’t externally pipped you can create a safety hole (lots of posts about this) to ensure she has enough air to get to the next part. They are much slower to hatch than chickens.

She hatched yesterday without any problems!

I find incubating ducks much more stressful. Glad to hear she made it!

I finally have a broody duck, wonder if it’ll be less stressful?
