Hi so I rescued a duckling that was peeping after a storm I took it inside and it seemed fine the only think was that it had trouble walking I'm guessing that's why the mom left him behind . I'm guessing it might be like 2 weeks old or so . I did him blended corn, he didn't eat much tho . The second day he was on top of his little water bowl he seemed to like it so I let him be there for a while . It's a little bowl so it's impossible to drown . Well hours went by and after peeping so much all of a sudden he stopped he's to the point that he can't even lift his body , looks like his body is to heavy for his head . He's laying flat down, I'm not sure what to do I've tried rubbing his belly, I'm not sure if maybe he's constipated or something deeper then that . Please help.

What is the pink mark in pic no. 2? Is it just where the feathers have been parted? He's probably exhausted, especially if he was out there in the storm. Is he lying like he's sleeping or on his side?

I think he got cold and needs to warm up asap though if he’s laying flat like that it might be too late. You could try putting him under a heat lamp or hold him in your hand and very carefully dry him with a hair dryer on low for a few minutes - be super careful not to burn the little fellow. I’d try dripping some warm electrolyte water in his beak if you can too.
Good luck!

Right the pinkness is just how is feathers were parted at the time . He's literally laying because he can't lift his head, poor thing

Hows it going? It seems that the eye band doesnt go as far as the bill, if so then it isnt a mallard. Double check if its still hanging in there because if it isnt a mallard then, to me, it looks like it could be a mandarin or carolina, which are sods to get eating.
