Yes I was just dictating into my phone so I see there was obvious errors. I did manage to bring the duckling back to life enough to set up but it’s not eating yet. It is bathing in a warm tub of water. I brought over a friend (Another duckling to be with it) I did mark its leg with a safety identification marking As I have three others that look Identical nearly

Okay sweet!

So yeah sugar is a wikit rush to the system and it usualy sparks apitite. i wouldnt expect much eating after an episode but it would be a good sighn

Are you giving vitamin suplements and what are you feeding them? Did it get out of the heatlamp? and CAN it get out of the heatzone if it wanted too?

If anyone is following this would Pedia sure which has electrolytes Be a good Idea? I ask because we used to give that to our miniature newborn foals when they needed something extra- But I think I saved this ducklingbecause it’s actually dipping it’s held & bathing happily even though it hasn’t eaten.

I am feeding DUMOR chick starter at 20% But also supplementing a little scrambled eggs a little Kale salad And I do add niacin in the form of nutritional yeast from my co-op even though DUMOR says they have niacin in the food. I do only have one heat lamp right now approximately 2 1/2 feet above their heads in there is an area away from the heat lamp but I’m cleaning their pen so frequently and getting them what I am wondering if they don’t have a chance to dry out because I’m trying to keep them so clean .. This duckling I did find lying felt cool. And right now it’s opening and shutting its mouth constantly as it’s kind of swimming in 5 inch deep water

Hmmm. feed sounds good, Sounds like you love em! Have you raised the lamp as they get older for less heat?

And bathing is best done once a day. Bath then straight to the lamp for drying and preening

Best thing todo is put a thermometer under the lamp so you can keep an eye on it more closely altho they regulate themselfs by getting closer or futher. Usualy.
