Well I've got a few different pens that I can work with. But I can't decide on what breeds I want.... What you read online and what you get to experience are sometimes two different things. So I ordered pairs of everything. In July I'll pick 5-7 different breeds I want or less if I'm not loving the rest. Then I'll sell the other drakes and or hens. That way I can help others in my area with new blood line. And I also have a pen that I keep of ducks that I love...just cause they are cute or funny. Ducks that are mutts, or cute or what ever but that i dont want to breed from. And I'll eat their eggs.
I spend lots of time with my birds, and I also take them to teach younger kids about ducks. And my mixed up pen is where i keep them.
