I have a few week old duckling and have a question about his poop. He recently has been switched over to pellet food from a feeding store. He used to eat scrambles eggs with some finely chopped fruit and water. Before, his poops were liquidy with a solid part in the middle. Now, they are solid with very little liquid and almost look foamy. Is this bad? Does he have a illness or something? Thanks

Give it a few days... this isn't necessarily normal, but it might be due to a change in food. I never had that problem. Is the foam white?
The foam isn't white, it's the brown color of his poop. It's not really like foam, but there is little to no liquid in his poop, but he drinks the same as he normally does.

From what I noticed in my ducklings the poop changed many times a day. A lot of water led to more watery poops, like after baths. Eating bugs and dirt leads to dark black poop. do you make the crumbles into a mash? that might help.
Part of being a mom, of any species is the fascination with poop...
