Duckling Question....

Ok, so this may sound like a really stupid question, but I'm curious:

Should ducklings (or ducks) be able to swim backwards??

Today I put my 5 little ducklings in the bath tub for a swim. They were going into the laundry room sink for a swim, but they are growing. While they were in the bathtub, Kung Pao the little dark duckling was swimming backwards and sideways. It was odd to me as he/she has never done it before....

They are very good swimmers and can pretty much do anything in water haha

one of my ducklings was doing backflips in the water one day. Did it like 4-5 times but never again.

all of our ducks including the ducklings can swim backwards or to the side to some degree.

Awesome thanks for the info! I was just worried about him/her because he/she almost died in my hands when I got home. Kung Pao is also the smallest one and the cutest one (in my opinion), and I'm really attached to him/her.
