Hi , I’ve just read a very old article-2010- on ducklings having seizures. Well I think that article has just saved my week old ducklings life. Thank you. The baby was weak from day 1. I gave the little 1 brewers yeast for niacin and hoped that the weakness would pass. The baby is with 2 other ducklings of different ages and are well. Anyway the ducklings had their 1st swim today and all went well until the baby got out and went rigid on me. I thought it was having a heart attack. Never seen this before. It did it twice about 20 minutes between each seizure. According to the article it mentions thiamine and a vit b complex capsule. Well the youngster got a good dose of vit b complex and seems right as rain. All signs of weakness has disappeared at the moment. Will keep a careful eye on the baby for the next couple of days. But hopefully the whole incident is in the past. Thank you for your article library. ☺️

Glad to hear she has recovered. Would you mind sharing the article?
Wow I'd luv too but looking through the articles I see there are many and I cant seem to find the 1 I read. However I do see that there are many that talk about vit b and niacin deficientcy in young ducklings

It seems seizures in ducklings are most often caused by low blood sugar, or a vitamin E, or thiamine deficiency.
