Duckling seizures

Hi , I’ve just read a very old article-2010- on ducklings having seizures. Well I think that article has just saved my week old ducklings life. Thank you. The baby was weak from day 1. I gave the little 1 brewers yeast for niacin and hoped that the weakness would pass. The baby is with 2 other ducklings of different ages and are well. Anyway the ducklings had their 1st swim today and all went well until the baby got out and went rigid on me. I thought it was having a heart attack. Never seen this before. It did it twice about 20 minutes between each seizure. According to the article it mentions thiamine and a vit b complex capsule. Well the youngster got a good dose of vit b complex and seems right as rain. All signs of weakness has disappeared at the moment. Will keep a careful eye on the baby for the next couple of days. But hopefully the whole incident is in the past. Thank you for your article library.

Wow I'd luv too but looking through the articles I see there are many and I cant seem to find the 1 I read. However I do see that there are many that talk about vit b and niacin deficientcy in young ducklings

It seems seizures in ducklings are most often caused by low blood sugar, or a vitamin E, or thiamine deficiency.
