I have a 3wk old male Dutch harlequin, Alexander, and he seems to be walking a bit wobblier than the others, and he keeps plopping down like his legs hurt. On one of his knees, it looks a little red, I wonder if he got sunburnt?
He just lies there while his girls run around eating, and he seems to have a hard time getting up.
I’m going to be giving them mealworms with their food so they get that extra niacin. I wanted to know what you guys thought?
I have two videos
He’s the little yellow one with the grey head.

EDIT! I think it may be ants! A ton of ants found their food and water and I think they’re biting his legs, if that’s the case, would I be able to put something on his legs like coconut oil to help with the pain?

Poor lil fella..glad u caught that in time. Surprised he didn't eat the ants. Maybe he ate them off the girls to protect them. just regular Neosporin for scars and pain. There is also terramycin but it's not for pain and pricey, I mostly use it on eyes. There's Also black drawing salve for severe infections it draws it out. It is actually used on abscess on horse hooves/feet.

If we have one showing symptoms of niacin deficiency the fastest way of treating is liquid BComplex (TSC) it can be given over some meal worms but one showing symptoms needs to be treated separately. If not treated it will cripple. The bottle will say injectable but we us it orally for our birds. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/niacin-deficiency-in-waterfowl.1367557/ This gives info and also dose for age. In using mealworms how are you going to figure out how many worms to give to help the duckling get over it?

I mostly just sprinkle it around their yard and put a handful in their feed bowls so they can it whenever. I’m not sure how much to give them tbh, but I know not to give it to them all the time. He’s walking a lot more now, I think it may be ants tho, I’ve noticed a ton in their enclosed area. I moved the babies to a uncontaminated coop so they could heal, and I poisoned the mound yesterday and today
