Newbie here. Caygua drake has been limping on one foot. He's beginning to not put any weight on it. I researched the possibilities that could be causing this. First, I thought his knee was dislocated due to what seemed like it was sticking out a little bit further than the other leg. But he moves it in the water. Secondly, I thought maybe bumblefoot. Since I'm not experienced in this, I definitely would feel better having some different opinions/insight on what's wrong with this big guy.
- Noticed the limp around 4-5 days ago; Started Epsom soaks the day I noticed. Daily routine now
- Water therapy during the day
- Normal eating; drinking; bathroom habits
- Worried about an infection due to it being warm to the touch on the ankle & knee cap; he kinda pulls away when touching those spots.
- Callus like bumps on bottom
- Separated from the rest. I have him in a small pen outside during the day. That way he still gets to interact with the others. At night, he's in a dog cage by himself. Yet I still have him set up by the others.
