Just put a small bowl of grit down they will use it as needed. And you can offer lettuce when ever as a treat they get the grit to help grind it up. They know these things instinctually. They sure are pretty !

They look pretty healthy so don't worry. Being indoors drys out the nares and so does heat. Good idea to provide deep enough water. Definitely can eat Romain Lettuce with a little Grit too..

What? I never read that before?
Did you get granite chick Grit? I just sprinkle it on the Lettuce like pepper every couple of days. You definitely don't need them to fill crops up in Grit.

I always put grit out in a separate container so they eat as needed. And yes chick grit needs to be severed any time we feed any thing other than starter.
