duckling swam too long might have a problem

breathing clearing up a bit. peeping still faint but more frequent. she's sleeping (not dying because all her breething and peeping are as if she was awake.). but she cant walk so if she got too hot under the Lamp ii would nt know because she cant walk or aything to get out from uner it
Adjust the lamp so it's over her but not close. put a thermomator in your brooder so you can adjust temp by adjusting lamp. It's important that she not chill is what i am saying. How old are your ducklings? You deff don't want to over heat her either. depending on age of duckling as to what temp should be. It's been over an hour now how is she doing?

Could you maybe lay a thermometer beside her? What is it they say 90 degrees for the first week and then five degrees less for every week after. Maybe try to position her in a spot that has that temp. What spot does she usually lay at when she isn't sick? My babies always layed in the same area to sleep, which just happened to be right under the heat lamp.

yay! sorry about the late post. last night about 7PM (11:30 hrs ago) she peeped noromally, and she moved her little head around and look outside and all that.

this is what she does when you pick her up when she is not in shock.

she passed the walk test.

integrated fine under the heat lamp back with her little friends.

all's well. thanks for all the support.
