It depends on the duck. Some of mine seemed to quack sometimes super young. One peeped till around 5 weeks.

All i know is that they are loud, stinky, and soooooo much cuter than chickens so they are totaly worth it. We had to move my Assistants desk away from the bathroom door where the fluffy butts are...she couldnt take it anymore lol.

it usually take at least 2 weeks. I had a pekin before, and after about 2 weeks, she started getting a quack in her peep. you'll know for sure at 4-6 weeks

Eight ducklings in a classroom is going to quickly go from cute to insufferable. They grow faster and are messier than almost any other type of poultry (or bird period). I love ducks, but the huge drawback to the cuteness is how messy they are and how much space they need.
