No, they won't straighten out, but at the same time it didn't seem to bother the duckling when I tried.Welcome to BYC. Can you straighten the legs out?
I took him/her to an animal hospital, they said they couldn't do anything unless I wanted to relinquish the duckling to them and they'd just call wildlifeI hate to ask, but is a vet an option?
How long has the duckling been out of the shell? Looks like long enough to be just about fully dry, 24 hours?Hi everyone, this is my first time hatching ducks, this poor little duckling piped on day 28 but didn't hatch until day 31, his/her legs are not right and the feet seem to be stuck shut, can anyone please advise me what to do. Thank you

Sometimes defects like that are what prohibit chicks from hatching in the first place/making them take a really long time to hatch.
Honestly, I'd say just wait and see what happens. I would try mixing together the "Save-a-Chick" products just in case the chick has a deficiency.
Okay, some chicks can be slower to walk. I've had that happen hatching my bantams before.Hatched about 23 hours ago
Okay, thank you, I was a little concerned for this one because the other 5 were up and running around in about an hour, this one seems as though he's got to flat tiresOkay, some chicks can be slower to walk. I've had that happen hatching my bantams before.
