There are smaller herding breeds that aren't called Shepherd like corgi, sheltie, border collies, and a few others.

Miniature American shepherds are smaller. Depends what you want. All shed to some degree and need coat care. Most tend to bark, and need a lot of daily exercise. You will be constantly followed and harassed to play if not.

Thanks!!!!!!!!! Some of that sounds good and some not LOL I don’t mind brushing or combing some or baths but I don’t want to be paying tons for a groomer LOL

I could do with skipping the adolescent phase but it is worth it
