Duckling with bent neck - please help

It sounds like wry neck. It is unlikely that the duck will make it and most would just cull it. It is sad, but somewhat common. Many animals suffer from this or wry tail. Both are a DQ if showing. Sorry, hopefully the little one stands a chance.

The brewers yeast may not be delivering the thiamine B1 quick enough, can you get some polyvisol and put a couple of drop directly into the bill/beak? Even some nutri-drench in the water may be more effective than the BYeast.

Argh! My email didn't tell me I had received replies, so I've only just seen many of these suggestions. Do you think it's too late now to try your suggestions?


The little duck is still going strong. It's neck hasn't got worse, but nor has he got better. He eats plenty and is generally happy as Larry. He swims well, but it tends to be in one direction because of his neck.

As I said in my last post, he has grown very slowly and still hasn't got many adult feathers. But he is growing and getting bigger, just slowly.
