I put the calls out to play today...same as any other time. I check on them frequently. Well.....he bent his tail. He still wags it. He doesn't seem to be in pain, even when I touch it. What should I do?

Hmm, strange! A tail moving off to the side can be a sign of spine trauma, but if the duck otherwise gets around fine and seems fine, it seems unlikely there would be spine trauma. Very odd indeed! Are there any other symptoms at all?

Doesn't a wry tail have to do with the entire spinal column being out of line? I think this is different because it just happened. But I agree that if he seems to be getting around fine without discomfort then there isn't anythign to really worry about.

We have a duck with wry tail. Didn't notice it when we first got him, but after he got his curled tail was when I noticed it. Doesn't hurt, just doesn't make for a good breeding duck.

Ok..thank you! Does it just pop up like that? DH and I took them out to the pen this morning and he was fine, a few hours later....he looked like that.
