Duckling with bill deformity

I just thought I’d post an update. First of all, thank you for your suggestions. I have named the little duckling Shirley( she has begun to quack and she is a girl). I will post pictures the next time I go out. But she is doing really well. Her feet are almost perfectly straight. Her bill never did form. So she has all of her bottom bill and slightly more than half of her top bill.

She does eat and drink out of deep dishes. Right now she is staying in a 10’x13’ fully enclosed pen with 9 other ducklings and a disabled drake. When I let the rest of the ducklings out of that pen to mix with general population next week, she will stay behind to live with my disabled drake, Lazlo. This way I can keep an eye on her and make sure she is getting enough to eat. I can also make sure the older birds aren’t picking on her.

We have a little duck like this. He is over a month old and doing really well. It's just the one side of it's upper bill that doesn't grow. The vet is going to try to take a sliver out of side that isn't growing and give Mr Bill a partial prosthetic.
