Ok, so I have a duckling that hatched today that has a really curly foot. The other one has straightened out, but the curly one doesnt seem to have as much mobility, and she keeps wanting to hold it behind her instead of undernieth her like the other. We are going to give it till tomorrow to fix its self before we intervene. But ic it doesnt, we have three options, raise her as handicapped, cull her, or try and fix it (preffered method, already had to culfill one duckling this year and it feels horrible)

So I need to know, what are the best options for fixing curly foot??

Try some vitamins, such as Poultry Cell or vitamin B Complex. Leg and foot problems can be common with hatching problems or heredity, and also with vitamin deficiency.

Even in new hatchlings?? Would childrens vitimins work?? Thats all we have and money is really tight for us right now.

Update. Curly foot is better, but is still there. She will be getting a boot. She can walk but still stumbles.

Heres a photo shoot I did of her being an energetic duckling.

Some people do use baby vitamins such as PolyVisol without Iron, 3 drops daily. I prefer B complex since it is easy to grate or crush onto food. They are hard to overdose:

Hi there, I have the same issue with our latest arrival, and she keeps going round in circles, and can't hold her head up. Would crushed berocca in water be ok to give her?? The other 5 are doing really well but she is not, and I want to do whatever I can to help her. Also, at what age/stage do you decide to intervene with a boot etc. and how do you make them?

I am not familiar with berocca, but after checking it seems to contain caffeine, as well as vitamins, so I would not give it to ducks or poultry. Beef liver, B complex vitamins, nutritional yeast, and other sources of B vitamins would be good to use.
