Hi!
One of my ducklings developed a purple bruise-like spot of their beak. It's not a freckle, it's rather large.
I want to start giving it niacin and Coq 10 and brewers yeast after reading about ducks with purple bills. I'm just not sure what kind to give it and how much. Do I just buy soft gels meant for humans and cut them open? I didn't find any duck specific supplements online. Please advise.

Hi, welcome to BYC @J9ac9kie :welcome
Coq 10? What is that?
What feed are they on?
Can you get a photo? It could be that they bumped their bill and caused a little bruise time thing

For niacin supplements liquid vitamin B complex is very effective - says injectable, but you can add it to treats and they take it orally. You can get this at Amazon, Tractor Supply, or your local feed store. I sprinkled nutritional yeast from Trader Joes on my recent duckling's food. I've also used Brewer's yeast. Did you read the thread up top under sticky topics about niacin deficiency? I think that will cover dosing!
