Duckling with Respiratory concerns

Hi everyone! So my duckling that I had to help hatch 5 days ago is doing fairly well but she seems to have a mild respiratory infection. She’s not too hot but is panting and tail pumping at times and sounds sniffly. Is vetRx safe to use on her?

Possibly she may need an antibiotic if this doesn't clear up. I'd not wait to long.

I just put a little vetrx on the nares and and a drop under the wings. You can add a drop to the water as well. But, for a duckling since you should have small dishes of water deep enough only for them to put their heads in, then 1 drop should be plenty. Plus offer a dish of just fresh water as well. I offer electrolytes the first week too. If it were me, I'd put the electrolytes in with the water with the vetrx.

I would give my duckling a warm bath. They tend to clean their nares better in a bath. The warm water will also help dislodge anything in their nares. Just dry them well after the bath. I would also take a good look at its nares and make sure there is nothing in there.
