Duckling

Hi my duck has hatched early this morning about 6-5 o'clock could I be able to take him out and place him under the heat lamp or would I leave him in? And also I have a 4 day old duckling he wouldn't hurt him would he ?

After a few hours he should be dry, so yes you can put him in the brooder now... as for the older one, you might want to wait at least a day or so until the newbie is up on his feet and steady before putting them together... and you'd want to do that when you can be around for a while, just to make sure the younger one doesn't get hurt... older one probably won't hurt him intentionally, but they do like to peck at shiny things, like eyes, and if he's not strong enough he may get hurt...

Hi thanks for the helpful tips he's still a little wet but he's also fluffy in place will I leave him for and hour I'm just worried because I'm scared in case he gets his beak stuck in the fan below:/

Ah, well if you're worried then go ahead and move him... I've moved wet chicks and ducks as long as the room isn't cold he shouldn't get a chill...
