ducklings and chick

Hi

I currently have 6 ducklings (3 weeks old) and I have acquired a chick tonight (1 week old) due to its owner no longer being able to look after it. I have raised chickens before from chicks BUT for tonight at least I need to have use of the heat lamp for both the ducklings and the chick. what is my best bet?

will the chick be ok if I put her in with the ducklings? or am I best to try and separate the enclosure for the night so they are able to share the heater?

any other ideas welcome.

Can you make a brooder inside your brooder your ducklings maybe a little to rough on a week old chick?That way they can share the heat but chick is safe.

I’ve been trying and had no luck. I’ve put the chick in a box with some bedding food and drink and a wrapped up hot water bottle for the night and I’ll get her a cage on my way home tomorrow so I know she separate a safe
