Ducklings are dying please help

Hatched 12 runner ducks in the last 48 hours. All look great. Came down this morning 1 dead and two died later, all were at the far end of the brooder when I cam downstairs, away from the heat lamp. Another has just died. The rest are lethargic. Please can someone help. They are on bathroom towels changed everyday. Heat lamp at one end with temp at 85-90 under the lamp. Crumb and water with niacin in it. Please can someone help. My children are devastated. I just want to save the rest if I can. Given them scrambled egg just now. No one has eaten it.

Are they trying to get as far away from the heat lamp as possible if so the heat lamb may be too hot so move it away and that may help. I dont know enough about ducks but that is something I recognize from hatching chickens myself.

Two more have died. Now moved the lamp further away from them.

Are they trying to get as far away from the heat lamp as possible if so the heat lamb may be too hot so move it away and that may help. I dont know enough about ducks but that is something I recognize from hatching chickens myself.

Welcome to BYC, sorry you ducklings are dying. Are they drinking the water? If not, try just plain warm water until you're sure they are drinking enough. I suggest this because they might not like the taste of the water with the b vitamins in it.
