Ducklings first outing *pics*

My first broody Blue Swedish hatched out 12 babies yesterday. I moved them to their own pen/house this morning. Here they are on their first outting, checking out their new home. 4 Blacks and 8 Blue/Splash/Silver?

And just for fun...one of the first Blue Swedish that hatched under broody hens this Spring that I am keeping. He has since joined the 4 adults in the big duck pen...he got big fast! That is probably his mom, above with the babies.

Thanks everyone! I am in awe. I have never had a duck raising babies before.

I was gathering all their eggs all Spring because people on here said Swedish were never broody. I got lazy last month about gathering eggs and when I went to get them, all 3 Swedish were covering 2 nests. This girl hatched all her own though and the other two are sharing a nest. Theirs haven't hatched yet though. I will have to sell most of them at some point, but I will wait a month or so

Adorable! I love to let them raise their own babies too sometimes. Nothing is cuter.
