ducklings hatching tomorrow

    tomorrow is the hatch day for my duck eggs. i know it can take them awhile to hatch, but this is my first time and im really nervous. i want to know what i should be expecting, looking for, and doing. any tips are appreciated! and i might post pictures if all goes well.

    You should first be able to hear them peeping. After that (approx. 24 hours) you should see a small hole in the shell.

    That is the external pip. The duckling will then rest for a day or so, and then will start to work it's way around the shell

    will i be able to hear the peeping from outside the incubator? or will it be very quiet?

    It's usually very quiet at first, but it gets louder the closer it is to hatching

    Is hatch day for ducks day 28? Or day 26?

    So they start peeping at Day 28?

    Usually they start to internally pip (break through the air cell and start to make noise) around day 27
