ducklings - not like the last ones

[TLWR]

My 3 runner girls 1.5 years ago were totally different than this batch of 3. I had the 4 ducks that hatched from school here at home until they went to their new home. DH said those 4 were much more active and entertaining than these 3. I have one of the ones from school and 2 from Metzer (runner and a welsh harlequin) that are a week younger.
They sit around all the time. Enjoy their swims, but they are lazy.
Bring the original 3 in the bathroom and they would spend an hour running around and playing. These guys just sit. and sit. and sit. Hate to say it, but they are boring! I haven't spent as much time with these ones as the last ones since I'm working now, but they still get time daily out of the brooder to walk around in the yard or now the bathroom and some swim time. I'm in here with them now while they sit. Brought my laptop in this time

Maybe they are doing all their 'fun' stuff while you are at work and are tired by the time you get home.

I think they are just lazy little ducklings. They did finally start to explore last night, but by then, my butt was tired of sitting on the hard bathroom floor. I'll try again tonight and hopefully they warm up to me more and start getting more active.
