ducklings scared of handler

Just got some ducks friday, and they seem frightened when I go to change out there water or feed. They also run around trying to escape me when I put my hand in there brooder. Is this a normal thing? how do I get them to trust me?

Its normal.
My five 3 week olds run from me as soon as they see me, unless they are out of water and then they run to me and peak my toes.
Some ducklings tame down faster then others, it just takes time. Let tem get used to you and soon they will figure out you wont hurt them. Dont chase after them, they will just make them think your going to hurt them. With the ones I keep as pets I handle them daily and after awhile they get used to me.
